    Red Arch Solutions is a proven and effective small business integrator and consultant, recognized as a leading provider of IT development to the Federal Government, and primarily focused within the Intelligence Community.

     

    Red Arch is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the Defense Intelligence Agency.

     

    The scope of this contract relates to the Agile development of an Integrated Mission Management (IMM) Framework.  The software engineer will lead a team to build the middle-ware connecting the UI to the databases in an AWS cloud environment using the DI2E development suite of tools. The effort will require the development of APIs/code based on weighted user stories that the SCRUM team creates.

     

    Responsibilities/Job Function:

    • Leads a team of software developers providing guidance to help solve complex problems.
    • Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software APIs and systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements
    • Provides specific input to the software components of system design and user stories to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components
    • Ensures efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities using Agile methods and repeatable processes
    • Uses Agile software engineering and design methodologies appropriate to the DevOps environment
    • Mitigates risks, controls costs and schedule variance, and effectively manages large scale, integrated software projects
    • Designs and develops manual and automated test procedures
    • Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results
    • Designs or implements complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints
    • Perform quality control on team products
    • Coordinates software system installation and monitors equipment functioning to ensure operational specifications are met
    • Implements recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards

     

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Mandatory Security Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with CI Poly
    • Previously worked in a DevOps environment
    • Previously worked using Agile methods and SCRUM or SAFe processes
    • Previously worked using Jira, Jenkins, Bitbucket (Git), and SonarQube
    • Demonstrated proficiency and experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and some or all of the following: Linux (CentOS and Red Hat), Microsoft Windows (Server and Workstation), databases (Oracle, MySQL), web services, internet protocols, Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Network (SAN) systems
    • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to this position (e.g. information systems, computer science, math, or engineering) and fourteen (14) years of relevant technical experience
      • An additional four (4) years of relevant technical experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree
    • Must presently be 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2 preferred); must be 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2) by date of security indoctrination with any necessary continuing education (CE) for certification 

    Desired Qualifications

    • Certified SCRUM Developer or Certified SCRUM Professional
