    Red Arch Solutions is a proven and effective small business integrator and consultant, recognized as a leading provider of IT development to the Federal Government, and primarily focused within the Intelligence Community.

     

    Red Arch is seeking a SCRUM Master to support the Defense Intelligence Agency.

     

    The scope of this contract relates to the management of an Agile development of an Integrated Mission Management (IMM) Framework. The effort will require the decomposition of requirements into weighted user stories that the software team can use; the removal of impediments between the software developers and obstacles keeping them on track; and the orchestration (standing up and closing down) of the SCRUMS.

     

     Responsibilities/Job Function

     

    • Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings.
    • Perform conflict resolution by focusing on scrum values of openness, honesty and respect.
    • Strong communication skills as an effective force to hold the team together.
    • Forecast the number of deliverables possible in an iteration.
    • Perform estimation and planning to create useful, reliable and practical plans for software development projects.
    • Coach the development team in Agile practices and the SCRUM processes.
    • Help team or individuals clarify goals and actions to achieve them.
    • Shield development team from outside distractions and interferences.
    • Track and remove impediments.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Mandatory Security Clearance Requirement: SECRET
    • Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe, etc.
    • Good skills to coach team how to follow agile SCRUM.
    • Understand the basic fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.
    • Strong knowledge of SCRUM theory, rules, and practices.
    • Basic knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand his team needs.
    • Knowledge about Agile techniques like: User Stories, Continuous Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
    • Ability to take and understand commitment to deliver the product on time.
    • Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories etc.
    • Familiar with common development practices, Service oriented environments, and Agile practices.
    • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to this position (e.g. information systems, computer science, math, or engineering) and six (6) years of relevant technical experience.
      • An additional four (4) years of relevant technical experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Certified SCRUM Master
    • Certified SAFe Practitioner
    • Experience managing SCRUM teams developing secure Government applicaitons
    • Knowledge of project management principles
