    Red Arch Solutions is seeking a Software License Configuration Manager to support our mission at Patrick Air Force Base near Melbourne, Florida to assist with audit readiness.

    The Software License Configuration Manager (SW CM) will provide software license management in accordance with AFMAN 17-1203, Information Technology (IT) Asset Management (ITAMS) to include design, development and documenting all processes and procedures used in software license management and license packaging. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


    • Implement and build a software inventory, ultimately linking licensing, usage, locations, and documentation for all software products
    • Perform software licensing deployment throughout AFTAC
    • Develop, implement, and promote policies, processes and procedures for software acquisitions, installations, usage and disposition
    • Perform assessments of software package ability to meet mission objectives and provide recommendations for economic and streamlined options to optimize government software procurements
    • Ensure that all parties understand and adhere to legal requirements for using software, based on end user license agreements
    • Update and maintain (the existing inventory) a hard or soft copy of the software license inventory and “Proof-of-License Ownership” of GOTS/COTS software in use. This inventory shall be current within one week of a change
    • Store proof of license agreements or licenses (e.g. user manuals, purchase documentation, CDs) and software media in a secure centralized location (e.g. locked drawer, file cabinet, room) and on-line (e.g. Sharepoint and/or share drives). Monthly updates on the proof of license inventories shall be provided
    • Complete an inventory of all licensed software within 45 days of contract start date, semi-annually thereafter and, if available, utilize auto-discovery tools to track and report implemented software and license information
    • Audit all systems to ensure no illegal or unauthorized copies of software are installed. Contractor shall document the monthly audit findings, in the monthly audit report. Sampling procedures may be used if active inventorying/auto discovery systems are available
    • Use automated tools to be used to the maximum extent possible for tracking software installed on the network where applicable

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Active TS/SCI clearance required
    • Familiarity with DoD or Air Force environment desired
    • IAT Level 2 certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M (Security and Computing Environment certification)
    • Bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or related work experience (6 years)
    • 1-2 years of experience managing, tracking and assessing software licenses in a Government environment and leveraging automated tools to facilitate those activities
    • Good oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work well with others
    • Good organizational skills
    • Familiarity with Air Force Instructions (17 and 33 series) desired
    • Must have a broad, deep customer service orientation and professional appearance/demeanor
