    Red Arch Solutions is seeking a Senior Hardware Technician to support our mission at Patrick Air Force Base near Melbourne, Florida to assist with audit readiness.

    The Senior Hardware Technician will assist with installing and decommissioning IT equipment to ensure proper configuration management of devices to achieve CCRI compliance. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Constructing technical drawing using MS Visio
    • Coordinating each hardware equipment placement with Data Center Manager (DCM)
    • Moving hardware from its storage area to the Data Center or the Communications room
    • Performing all hands-on installation actions, including but not limited to: installing mounting rails, utilizing a ServerLift, installing power cords (with proper coordination with DCM) and properly labeling hardware and HW connections to the appropriate network
    • Responding to infrastructure trouble tickets for HW removal 
    • Perform all hands-on HW removal actions, including but not limited to: removing power cords, utilizing a ServerLift, removal of rail system from rack and coordinate with network shop and media custodian
    • Maintain the Data Center Materials Inventory in order for to meet DoD mandated CCRI compliance standards
    • Perform a weekly inventory of Cat5E/Cat6, Twinax, and fiber patch cables
    • Maintain a supply of Cisco SFP and SFP+ modules; this shall be coordinated with the Network shop
    • Perform a routine inventory of the Data Center rack cable management accessories
    • Perform a routine inventory of the Data Center rack locking power cords

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Active TS/SCI clearance required
    • Familiarity with DoD or Air Force environment desired
    • IAT Level 1 certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M (Security and Computing Environment certification)
    • High School degree
    • 5+ years of relevant experience in installing, tracking, maintaining and decommissioning IT systems
    • Good oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work well with others
    • Good organizational skills
    • Familiarity with Air Force Instructions (17 and 33 series) desired
    • Must have a broad, deep customer service orientation and professional appearance/demeanor
