    Red Arch Solutions is seeking a System/Sensor Maintainer to support our mission at Patrick Air Force Base near Melbourne, Florida.


    The scope of this contract is to provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support to the United States Prompt Diagnostic System (USPDS) for AFTAC in the areas of collection and analysis of nuclear phenomena to support speed of sound (SOS) and speed of light (SOL) mission areas in support of USPDS headquarters functions and to support numerous sensor nodal locations.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Plan and perform engineering assignments in support of operations and maintenance of the USPDS sensor suite operations and sensor site emplacement
    • Perform detailed operations and maintenance of sensors and communication systems at numerous U.S site locations and update sensor requirements by conducting site surveys with nuclear phenomena experts and sensor developers
    • Resolve emplacement problems by collecting and analyzing information; analyzing, adapting, and modifying engineering techniques; recommending solutions; preparing drawings, schematics, and diagrams; resolving design integration issues; producing specifications and safety standards; and recommending installation upgrades and alternatives for effective maintaining of the system and sensors
    • Perform oversight, installation, maintenance of Speed-of-Sound (air pressure and seismic) sensors, Speed-of-Light (Optical, RF, and Gamma) sensors, and processing and communications systems

    • Perform scheduled, emergency, and routine field maintenance at equipment locations across the continental United States

    • Follow, maintain, and suggest corrections to technical documentation IAW U.S. Air Force (USAF), Air Force Office of Safety and Health (AFOSH), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards

    • Provide support with intra-site and long-haul communications to include SATCOM, terrestrial, and wireless networks

    • Provide expertise in updating and supporting USPDS studies and analyses. Studies and analyses shall include, but are not limited, to the following:

      • Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages

      • Engineering/Supportability Studies

      • Environmental Studies

      • Logistics Support Analyses

      • Problem Identification Studies

      • Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Analyses

      • System Safety Analyses


    Minimum Qualifications

    • Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance
    • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to this position and ten (10) years of relevant technical experience involving training, support equipment, test equipment, technical data development, and the design, development, and evaluation of sensors, communication systems, equipment, experimental facilities and instrumentation systems; repairs, rebuilds or overhauls of major assemblies of equipment; and other general field testing support functions
    • Shall have experience with electricity and electronics; ability to read blueprints and technical drawings; ability to install, maintain, repair, and replace wiring and control systems; ability to inspect electrical components, troubleshoot electronics and identify electrical problems using test devices; and follow local, state, and federal regulations of the site locations

    • Possess DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ or equivalent)
